today I want to draw attention to something. Unfortunately the Institute of Art History at Osnabrück University shall be closed.
The President's cabinet justifies this decision with the need for resources for the STEM fields in order to raise their profiles and increase their competitiveness amongst other things. On Friday the 26th November I was on an excursion with my photography course in this exhibition in the Felix-Nussbaum Haus in Osnabrück, Germany were the winners and nominees of Felix Schoeller Photo Award 2015 were presented and it was awesome!
The winning works are exhibited in a large-format and one category winner has a whole wall to themself.
The Award is divided in 5 categories:
Portrait Landscape/Nature Architecture/Industry Photojournalism/Editorial Photography Free Choice/Conceptual Photography
There was also an extra category for the best work by an emerging photographer.
So there is this huge range of different types
